Go home.

After all that she's gone through I can't fault her. The fighting, the injuries, those conflicts she wrote about before...

For all we face upon returning to Radiant Garden, there would be some relief in going back. I've been here for over seven months, and at eleven months Kairi's been here even longer. If time progresses at the same rate it did between her being taken here and my arrival the total time we'll be missed must be less than a day at most, but between the trial and the mysterious message from Halloween I do worry how things fare at Radiant Garden.

We still have no answer to the meaning of that message, do we? And, as I had to mention when one of the Soras did something to Kairi, we don't know what did cause those mysterious disappearances either.

All this research and still so many questions to answer.

And still no sign of her.

This isn't how I would have liked to find out, if it had to happen at all.

The first order of business is to find a way to help her return to normal, if possible. And then there will have to be some things to work out, won't there?

Kairi should be recovering from her burns for some time now, unless some miracle has occurred since I last saw her. They're serious--she's been healing for weeks, and the damage is still evident; her mobility is severely restricted.

~~Maybe it's time to look into taking up weapons practice again, if there's any chance it could improve our chances the next time something like this comes up.~~

I've been neglecting to record anything in this again, haven't I? I've been preoccupied with looking into this new compound and updating all the notes I brought from the old location. I was able to bring everything I had ~~including~~ , so nothing has been lost during the move.

Tending to the burn also required some research, though I did have it looked at; thankfully it's just a graze for the most part.

That did not go as planned.

Frustrating.

The smell. The malfunctions. The ash, the quakes, and the attack going on now. Possibly even the Warden's first message, about the Keepers. There should be a connection between all these somehow, shouldn't there?

(OOC: Xehanort got burned on his right shoulder while on his way to the Arena. Noooot that he wants to let it stop him from treating people and doing whatever he wants to.)

A new year is approaching; looking back, this year has easily been quite an eventful one. What I've found out, what could await our return home...whether or not our memories of this place will be intact or not, as I've seen some discussing in the past, things are bound to change. I'll go so far as to be optimistic and say that hopefully the changes will turn out to be for the better.

Thank you to everybody who sent me gifts for the holidays.

I've made my decision. Unless further events demand, I would prefer to leave my memories to myself.

There are many different reasons for this. But what seems most important...it's occurred to me more than once that had I stumbled upon an opportunity like this before coming here, I might have been more enthusiastic. This could be attributed to any of a number of causes, but one that was less obvious was the reason I would be remembering.

Finding whatever truths there are firsthand, compared to having it all delivered on a silver platter...I would, of course, have to wait for it, and there is a possibility that I might not ever know it otherwise. But I will take that chance--the best discoveries are made when one does the work himself, and whatever may lie in my memory I will uncover it with the efforts of both myself and Kairi, as long as she is willing.

Time passes, seasons change...all of a sudden I feel rather nostalgic.

What's going on back in the Gardens, I wonder. How much time has passed since Kairi and I were taken here? A rough estimate is possible, comparing the amount of time passed between Kairi's arrival and mine here to the time passed back home, but as other accounts have implied different relative passages of time the validity of it would be questionable.

That was...not what I was expecting. But now I have a name, proof something lies hidden beyond the reach of my memory. "Aqua."

Aqua told of coming trouble on our world. Is this connected to the mysterious disappearances, and the war all those years ago? It seems highly probable.

And the trouble...is that which with I am most familiar, out of anything in that message. "Master Xehanort"; "You wouldn't know me anymore"; "the experience you once had"...what does it all mean?
